Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is provided by Hawaii Digital Marketing LLC, operating as HawaiiWebSEO (“HawaiiWebSEO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). HawaiiWebSEO respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through hawaiiwebseo.com, why we use it, the service providers that help us operate the Website, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

When you contact us, we collect your name and email address. You may also choose to provide your phone number, business name, the services you are interested in, and a message. We save your submission so we can understand your inquiry and respond to you.

After a contact submission is saved, we send limited contact details — email address, name, business name, and the services you selected — to Klaviyo as a lead-management event so our follow-up is organized and nothing falls through. Your phone number and the contents of your message are not sent to Klaviyo for that event. Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing emails; newsletter consent is separate and is only requested when you sign up for our newsletter.

When you subscribe to our newsletter or unlock the Free SEO Checker, we collect your name and email address. We send your name, email address, and signup source to Klaviyo, our email platform, to request an email subscription. When double opt-in is enabled for that list, Klaviyo sends a confirmation email, and marketing delivery begins only after you confirm. We also keep a subscription record to manage checker access.

When you use the Free SEO Checker, you provide a Website URL. We send that URL to DataForSEO so it can generate the requested on-page analysis. The report is returned to your browser. HawaiiWebSEO does not store the checker report in its own database.

We keep a record of newsletter signup requests and SEO Checker activity and use Klaviyo to send internal notifications to our team. Newsletter notifications include the submitted name and email address. SEO Checker notifications include the Website address with login details, query parameters, and fragments removed, plus whether the check succeeded. These internal notifications do not confirm a newsletter subscription or subscribe you to marketing emails.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a contact-form message or Website URL.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics loads only after you explicitly opt in. Before you make a choice, analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization all default to denied, the Google Analytics script is not loaded, and no analytics events, including page views, are sent.

Our privacy notice offers two choices. “Allow all” grants analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization. “Deny” keeps all four denied and loads no Google Analytics or Google Ads script at all.

If you select “Allow all,” Google Analytics may collect page views, session activity, approximate location, browser and device information, referring pages, and a first-party identifier stored in the _ga cookie. Google Analytics and Google Ads may also use your consented Website activity, cookies and advertising identifiers, and Google signals to build remarketing audiences and personalize ads — including showing our ads to people who previously visited hawaiiwebseo.com.

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, contact-form message, or other directly identifying form content to Google Analytics or Google Ads for that audience.

The Website also stores a small local browser setting after newsletter signup so the Free SEO Checker can remain unlocked on that device.

Our hosting, content-delivery, security, and database providers may process technical information such as IP address, user agent, request details, and service logs as part of operating and protecting the Website.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Respond to questions and service inquiries.
• Manage newsletter subscriptions and checker access.
• Produce the SEO Checker report you request.
• Measure Website traffic and engagement.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the Website.
• Meet legal obligations and enforce our rights.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Website and deliver requested features:

• Lovable Cloud and Supabase provide application and database infrastructure.
• Cloudflare provides domain, delivery, and security infrastructure.
• Google Analytics provides Website measurement.
• Google Ads provides advertising and consent-based remarketing, used only if you select “Allow all.”
• Klaviyo processes newsletter subscription requests, receives contact-form lead events for follow-up, and sends our emails.
• DataForSEO processes Website URLs submitted to the Free SEO Checker.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Some may process information outside Hawaii or the United States.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect people or property, investigate misuse, or support a business transfer.

We do not sell personal information. Advertising personalization and Google signals stay disabled unless you affirmatively select “Allow all,” and you can withdraw that permission at any time through “Privacy choices” in the Website footer.

Cookies and your choices

Your privacy choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under a versioned key, so the same choice applies on your next visit: “Allow all” keeps measurement and remarketing enabled, and “Deny” stays declined. When we materially change what we ask, we update the version and the notice asks again rather than carrying an older choice forward.

To change or withdraw your choice, select “Privacy choices” in the Website footer at any time; the notice reopens in place and you can pick a different option. Clearing your browser’s site data for this Website also resets the choice, and the notice will ask again.

If you select “Allow all,” Google Analytics uses cookies, including _ga, to distinguish visitors and sessions, and Google may set or read advertising cookies and identifiers for remarketing. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Declining affects measurement and advertising only and does not prevent you from viewing the Website.

You can also use Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (opens in a new tab).

Our Website does not automatically detect or respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control browser signals. Advertising is opt-in here, so no advertising cookie or identifier is used until you choose it, and “Privacy choices” in the footer is the way to decline or withdraw that permission.

Newsletter choices

Each marketing email we send through Klaviyo includes its own unsubscribe method. You can also ask us to unsubscribe you at any time by emailing ryan@hawaiiwebseo.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. We will process the request as soon as reasonably practical and within any legally required period.

Retention

Contact and newsletter records remain stored until we delete them or you ask us to delete them. We do not use an automatic deletion schedule. SEO Checker reports are not stored by HawaiiWebSEO. Google Analytics and our service providers retain information according to their settings and policies.

Your privacy requests

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you submitted through the Website, or to stop using it for marketing. Email ryan@hawaiiwebseo.com and describe your request. We may need to confirm your identity before completing a request. We will consider and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies to HawaiiWebSEO, you may have additional privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. These include secure Website connections, input validation, and restricted database access. No online service or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

The Website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Privacy protections may differ from those in your location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our Website, services, or privacy practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
